[Mamonde][Review] Cover Powder Cushion #23

I decided to try this Mamonde Cover Powder Cushion after watching one of my favourite Korean make-up guru, Liah Yoo on Youtube. Anything for oily skin, of course I should not miss it out hahaha. Since there is no Mamonde in Singapore (as far as I know), I just trust her and order it right away! I myself is not very familiar with this brand and this is the first time for me buying Mamonde product.

I bought it from my usual ebay shop, rubyruby76 and I got it at discounted price, USD26.28 which includes a 15gram cushion and a refill. I bought #23 Natural Beige which matches my skin well. No I don't like the white pale look. I always (try to...) buy the correct colour for my foundations/BB cream. Another thing is I wear primer and powder (Innisfree no-sebum line), so the result may be influenced by those.

  • Coverage is okay. Not as good as I thought it would be. According to some review, this one has more coverage than Innisfree's Long Wear (which I also have). I had high expectation! But in fact, I feel that they have the same coverage?
  • For some reason it feels sticky on my face. I take it as both good and bad thing. Good because it means that it really does stick on my skin haha. Bad because I don't really like the feeling when I touch my face.
  • Sweat proof. I went out and got sweaty and yes it was still on my face. It does not clump or melt.
  • Non-darkening
  • Does not accentuate dry patches
  • Has SPF 50+ and PA+++
Left: without | Right: with

I don't think I will repurchase it... simply because I think it performs similar as Innisfree Long Wear Cushion for me and I can get the Innisfree one easier at Singapore outlets. Nevertheless this Mamonde Cover Powder Cushion is a good product and worth trying!

Edit: I alternated Innisfree and Mamonde cushion for the past weeks and I notice that Mamonde tends to melt faster on my face

Edit2: For those with oily skin... I find IOPE Air Cushion XP Matte Finish performs better for me :)

[Too Cool For School][Review] Glossy Blaster Tint #4 Posh Coral

When I went to Too Cool For School Singapore to buy my first Milk Tint, the shopkeeper offered me this Glossy Blaster Tint. I tried it on my hand and... I was not sure if the consistency is something that will work for me. Because it felt... thick and too creamy. Nightmare of some thick and creamy lip tints tells me not to buy it... I bought some lip tints which have creamy consistency and they dry my lips and just sip into it.

Last month I decided to order more Milk Tint in Pink for my Mom because she tried mine and she liked it. Long story short, she bought the wrong shade back in Jakarta and not wanting to buy another one... meaning I need to force buy it for her haha. Since my favourite Ebay shop (rubyruby76) is having a sale, I browsed around and saw the Glossy Blaster Tint. I read some reviews and it seems like people love it. I ordered Glossy Blaster Tint #4 in Posh Coral (4.8ml) for 9.40USD telling myself not to be that disappointed if this one is also killing my dry lips hehe seriously I had no high expectation. It is more expensive than Milk Tint which is cheaper and holds 2x more product on its tube.

  • Glossy, sparkly finish
  • I love this posh coral colour! Not too strong but nice pink/coral enough for daily use.
  • Non-drying
  • Smells like passionfruit? It has this fresh fruity smell.
  • Taste sweet! It is like sweet syrup... which I actually do not really fancy.
  • Due to this sweetness, I think this tint is stickier than others.
  • May transfer. You have to wait for awhile or you can just blot out the excess.
  • Not really long lasting? Maybe because the colour I choose is pretty 'weak'...
Overall, I actually love this product as much as I love their Milk Tint. I start to think that TCFS actually has great lip products! I have not tried their other things but maybe I will soon. Too bad they have closed their shops in Singapore... I will check their other products out when I am going back to Jakarta.

29/06/15 update: I went to Too Cool For School at Taman Anggrek Mall, Jakarta and they don't have this product :( But they do have the Milk Tint and other products. And yes I picked up something from there haha...

[Sharing] Dyon International

I got to know this place when I was searching for Sweet Almond Oil from Now Solutions on qoo10. They have delivery option but I decided to visit their shop to look around.

This shop actually sells quite a lot of things from small things like nail stickers to makeup. Some brand like Bath and Body Works and OPI are sold here with cheaper price. For example, OPI is sold at around 10SGD per bottle. I cannot remember every single one of the things that they sell there, but I will try to list the things that I remember.

  • OPI nail polish
  • China Glaze nailpolish
  • Seche Vite (they have the refill too for the famous top coat and they carry this brand cheaper than Sasa)
  • Now Solutions oils
  • ELF Cosmetics (brush and makeup)
  • Real Techniques makeup brush (generally cheaper than Watsons/Guardian)
  • EcoTools makeup brush
  • Bath and Body Works (if I'm not wrong, they have some of the products that are actually not in Singapore official shop. Body wash is sold at 18SGD)
  • EOS lipbalm

The things that I bought from there...

Now Sweet Almond Oil 473ml @ 28SGD (the small version was sold out T_T)
Nail tip guide @ 1SGD each
Real Techniques Core Collection @ 32SGD

I personally think that if you come to Singapore to shop beauty products, you may want to check out this shop first. You can find Dyon International shop at SCAPE, Singapore. Visit their facebook to check their latest product and promotion.
