[Innisfree][Review] Super Volcanic Clay Mousse Mask

One of the best selling from Innisfree: Volcanic Clay Mask but in mousse form. I have tried it several times and I love it more than the original Volcanic Clay Mask!

Performance wise, they are the same. Both makes me skin feels tighter, softer, give cooling effect and help to reduce my pore. I was so lazy to use my volcanic mask because over time, the mask gets hardened inside the tube. I decided to buy this mask again because I notice my pore gets worse. It was also about time that I have to throw away my volcanic mask... so I picked the mask again but in this different form.

I threw away my receipt already :( and I cannot remember how much I bought it for... but I am sure the price is the same as the jar type. Both comes in 100ml.
edit: Ops my bad... the jar type is SGD21 and this pump type is SGD29

I love how this comes in a bottle with a pump. I do not like putting my dirty fingers or spatula inside a jar honestly... so that is the first plus point for me. Since it is in mousse form, it is easier to spread and apply. With the original one, sometimes the clay cannot be spread and ended up being very thick layer on my face. It was damn hard to be removed hahaha. Anddd... sometimes I love to use it on my body/hands/legs. This mousse type is definitely more user-friendly in this case.

Soft clay mask which is easy to apply

Difference in consistency between the normal one and the mousse type
However, the thing with this bottle is that it is a bit hard to control the amount you want to take out. Once it is taken out... that's it! The first time I used this, I pressed too hard on the pump so I ended up wasting some products. Practice makes perfect though. Another thing is it may not be travel friendly.

In conclusion, I love Innisfree's Super Volcanic Clay Mask and I super duper love Innisfree's Super Volcanic Clay Mousse Mask!

[IOPE][Review] Air Cushion XP Matte Finish M23 Beige

Another cushion to be reviewed! I bought this because of recommendation from youtuber gloriousxelement. M23 means Matte shade 23!

I have heard a lot of good thing about IOPE Air Cushion XP... and yes finally they release the matte type which I think will be the most suitable one for my oil factory skin. IOPE XP also comes in Cover, Shimmer, Natural type. I did not dare to buy any of them because from the look of it, they are made for those with dry/normal skin. And in all honesty, I do not like the typical Korean dewy look... simply because I already have an oily skin hahaha.

IOPE seems to be slightly on the expensive side? I bought this from Ebay for USD29.35 (discounted price from the original USD31.90) which come with 1 cushion and 1 refill.

Surprise surprise!!! I think I have found one of the best cushions for oily skin...
  • My face is less oily. When I blot my face after lunch time (usually I always do), there is less oil on the blotting paper! Usually I would have to use more than 1 sheet... but with this cushion, even 1 blotting paper still has 'clean' space.
  • It does not melt. My working hour is from 9 to 7 or more LOL and it still sticks on my face. I can see oxidation but it is completely normal after that long hours.
  • Has great coverage.
  • It feels light on my face.
  • It is on sticky side so it will be best to finish with powder.
  • It does not accentuate dry patches.
My acne scars, nasty pores and veins are covered with this BB cushion
I am so impressed with this cushion. Although it may be a bit more expensive, but it is worth the price. Now I know why people love IOPE cushion! And thanks IOPE for releasing matte version LOL. This is why I love it when it is summer in Korea... more new products that I, who has super duper oily skin, can try out.

[Holika Holika][Review] Pig-nose Clear Blackhead Perfect Sticker

Out of all nose strips that I have been trying, this Pig-nose Clear Blackhead Perfect Sticker is one of the best.

I have read a lot of good review on it and actually I used to use this one from Biore (the black one, there are 2 types and I always bought the 'super' one) that I bought back in Australia. After I move out from there, I tried the Biore they have in Singapore... Packaging is different and the effect is also not as good as the one I used to use. It left residue and did not really took out the blackhead. During that time, I bought the one from Faceshop. Although it does not perform as good and also left residue, it is way better than the Biore I bought in Singapore.

I went to Australia for holiday last year and picked my favourite Biore nose strip! The packaging was different but I did not suspect anything... until I tried it and I was like 'BRING ME BACK MY BIORE NOSE STRIP!' No they are not the same!

When I went back to Indonesia, I roamed around shopping mall and went in to Holika Holika. The shop is big in Mall Taman Anggrek! The products seem to be more complete than the one in Singapore *for some reason Holika Holika is not popular here*. I bought a pack of this famous nose strip for Rp100.000 (less than SGD10). I have seen a lot of great review on this but I don't know why I did not try to order it online LOL.

Cute packaging... pink is not really my style tho
There are 10 sheets on each pack
The first time I tried it... I am pretty impressed! It took out the naughty blackhead on my nose! And it does not leave any residue at all (as long as you make your nose wet and you leave it long enough). One of the bad things about this product is its side effect. Maybe it is just me, but every time I use it I will feel a bit of itchiness on my nose. It only lasts for a moment though... so I think it will not stop me from using this product. Another thing is... it does not really take out all the blackheads... some very naughty ones need to be taken care by other means (read: by my fingers LOL).

Please excuse my nasty pores and panda eyes
They recommend to leave it for 10-15 minutes but if you feel that it is still not 'hardened' enough, you have to leave it longer. I would usually leave it for 20minutes. When you peel the thing, make sure to peel it from the sides... slowwwly... and I always pull the skin on my cheeks gently to make sure that the blackhead on the side of my nose can be taken out.

I am still searching for a better nose strip... but for now I think this is the best one yet! It is cheaper if you buy it at Kpoptown: USD4.41 each pack excluding shipping fee.

Scroll more for the nasty used sheet...

Eww...

[Sharing] Innisfree Best Loved Kit for VIP Members

Since I am a VIP member of Innisfree Singapore, I received this kit. They said this one is the first official membership kit! Yay! I am not sure if it is in Korea/other places, but I think it is for Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan and Hong Kong since when I registered for the kit on the website, these 4 countries are listed.

If someone ask me why Innisfree is my favourite? One of the reasons for me is it is eco friendly. I like how Innisfree's concept is close to nature. Their products are also natural; not only the ingredients but also the 'smell' and 'feel' of the products. I love how their products do not smell 'fake' or too 'sweet'. There is a funny feeling that I have with Innisfree... It feels like I can trust their products haha. I also think that their prices are reasonable (in Singapore). If I can travel to Korea, I would definitely go to Innisfree shop and have my shopping spree! And of course I need to go to their Jeju Island Shop!!!

At the moment, most of my skincare and basic makeup products are from Innisfree and I'm glad that I get this kit because I use 3 out of 4 products on this kit! How great it is they give the light version of Soybean Energy Essence and super version of Jeju Volcanic Pack! Exactly what I am using!

Green Tea Seed Serum 30ml
Look how cute it is!
Soybean Energy Essence (Light) 50ml - my review
Jeju Orchid Enriched Cream 30ml
Capsule Recipe Pack - Jeju Volcanic (Super) 10g
This is the 'capsule' version of their Jeju Volcanic Pore Mask

I always love love love love love small/miniature/travel/sample because they are easy to bring when I travel. So I think I will save the greentea serum and soybean essence for my next family trip.

I have heard a lot about their orchid line so I will give it a chance and see if I like it. I am not really into cream type products but since I get it for free and it is for anti-aging, I will try it haha.

[Sharing][Haul] Innisfree 6th Shop at Vivo City

As an Innisfree fan, of course I should visit to their new shop at Vivo City :)

The in shop ongoing promotions currently are:
  1. Green Tea Line Set
  2. Volcanic Line Set
  3. Freebies for above S$100 purchase
And I think the new member freebies is also on.
Too bad the soap making kit was only available on grand opening day on the 1st of July.

My purchase was more than S$100, so I get Green Tea Balancing Special Kit, Best Capsule Recipe Pack Collection, Lee Minho Cardholder and Green Tea Eco Bag!

I bought the newly launched Super Volcanic Clay Mask (3rd from left) and Jeju Volcanic Mousse Cleanser (rightmost one)

Great for travelling!

Since I know someone who is Lee Minho's fan, I think I will give it to her :D
And today was also the no plastic bag day, so they gave me a travel size Wine Jelly Sleeping Pack. I do love minis, samples and travel size things because I can carry them easily when I travel.

At the shop, they are promoting their new Volcanic Clay Mousse Mask that is actually similar to their tube type clay mask.
The original one. I honestly do not use it anymore because I am lazy.
Current promotion for this one is you will get a free volcanic pore kit solution and headband!

Jeju Volcanic Pore Solution Kit: Toner (13ml), Lotion (13ml) and Essence (8ml)

They do have both types: Volcanic Clay Mask (S$28 for 100ml) and Super Volcanic Clay Mask (S$29 for 100ml). I got myself the Super type since I have oily skin.
I also bought the newly launched Jeju Volcanic Mousse Cleanser (S$17 for 150ml). I am still unsure how this works... I think it is similar to bubble cleaner?

Vivo City shop also has the corner for perfume, diffuser and soap making. There are some nice smelling perfume but since I have just bought a new bottle of perfume, I would wait for a while to get another one. Soap making corner looks interesting but there was no shop assistant at the moment so I passed it. Well, I do not really like bar soaps honestly so... yeah.

So from today's shopping, my freebies are...
This time they do give a lot LOL

I have too many small travel size things and samples already and I actually do not use most of them haha so I don't know what I can do with them.

The shop is located at 1 HarbourFront Walk #B1-02 Vivo City, Singapore. From MRT, you can just take the escalator once. It is located side by side to Etude House new shop.

Review will come soon for the clay mask and cleanser!

[Mamonde][Review] Cover Powder Cushion #23

I decided to try this Mamonde Cover Powder Cushion after watching one of my favourite Korean make-up guru, Liah Yoo on Youtube. Anything for oily skin, of course I should not miss it out hahaha. Since there is no Mamonde in Singapore (as far as I know), I just trust her and order it right away! I myself is not very familiar with this brand and this is the first time for me buying Mamonde product.

I bought it from my usual ebay shop, rubyruby76 and I got it at discounted price, USD26.28 which includes a 15gram cushion and a refill. I bought #23 Natural Beige which matches my skin well. No I don't like the white pale look. I always (try to...) buy the correct colour for my foundations/BB cream. Another thing is I wear primer and powder (Innisfree no-sebum line), so the result may be influenced by those.

  • Coverage is okay. Not as good as I thought it would be. According to some review, this one has more coverage than Innisfree's Long Wear (which I also have). I had high expectation! But in fact, I feel that they have the same coverage?
  • For some reason it feels sticky on my face. I take it as both good and bad thing. Good because it means that it really does stick on my skin haha. Bad because I don't really like the feeling when I touch my face.
  • Sweat proof. I went out and got sweaty and yes it was still on my face. It does not clump or melt.
  • Non-darkening
  • Does not accentuate dry patches
  • Has SPF 50+ and PA+++
Left: without | Right: with

I don't think I will repurchase it... simply because I think it performs similar as Innisfree Long Wear Cushion for me and I can get the Innisfree one easier at Singapore outlets. Nevertheless this Mamonde Cover Powder Cushion is a good product and worth trying!

Edit: I alternated Innisfree and Mamonde cushion for the past weeks and I notice that Mamonde tends to melt faster on my face

Edit2: For those with oily skin... I find IOPE Air Cushion XP Matte Finish performs better for me :)

[Too Cool For School][Review] Glossy Blaster Tint #4 Posh Coral

When I went to Too Cool For School Singapore to buy my first Milk Tint, the shopkeeper offered me this Glossy Blaster Tint. I tried it on my hand and... I was not sure if the consistency is something that will work for me. Because it felt... thick and too creamy. Nightmare of some thick and creamy lip tints tells me not to buy it... I bought some lip tints which have creamy consistency and they dry my lips and just sip into it.

Last month I decided to order more Milk Tint in Pink for my Mom because she tried mine and she liked it. Long story short, she bought the wrong shade back in Jakarta and not wanting to buy another one... meaning I need to force buy it for her haha. Since my favourite Ebay shop (rubyruby76) is having a sale, I browsed around and saw the Glossy Blaster Tint. I read some reviews and it seems like people love it. I ordered Glossy Blaster Tint #4 in Posh Coral (4.8ml) for 9.40USD telling myself not to be that disappointed if this one is also killing my dry lips hehe seriously I had no high expectation. It is more expensive than Milk Tint which is cheaper and holds 2x more product on its tube.

  • Glossy, sparkly finish
  • I love this posh coral colour! Not too strong but nice pink/coral enough for daily use.
  • Non-drying
  • Smells like passionfruit? It has this fresh fruity smell.
  • Taste sweet! It is like sweet syrup... which I actually do not really fancy.
  • Due to this sweetness, I think this tint is stickier than others.
  • May transfer. You have to wait for awhile or you can just blot out the excess.
  • Not really long lasting? Maybe because the colour I choose is pretty 'weak'...
Overall, I actually love this product as much as I love their Milk Tint. I start to think that TCFS actually has great lip products! I have not tried their other things but maybe I will soon. Too bad they have closed their shops in Singapore... I will check their other products out when I am going back to Jakarta.

29/06/15 update: I went to Too Cool For School at Taman Anggrek Mall, Jakarta and they don't have this product :( But they do have the Milk Tint and other products. And yes I picked up something from there haha...
